Let's jump right in to project #3 of this 9-part packaging series:

I said these projects would be simple and I promise they are truly simple.
Here are the steps, if you haven't already guessed them.

To Stamp Eggs:

  1. Tap the mini stamp very lightly on the ink pad. The less ink you can use to get your imprint the better when stamping on eggs.

  2. Roll the stamp across the egg surface to print.

  3. Blot with a paper towel if it is especially inky - the food safe ink may "swell" or run if it's not stamped just right, so give yourself some practice eggs ;)

For the Carton:

  1. Stamp your logo directly onto the inside lid of the carton.
-or use stickers like I did

  2. Cut a long piece of kraft paper, fold in each side to make neat/straight lines, wrap around your carton + tape at the bottom.

  3. Use a tag or cut cardstock + punch a hole to create a tag, and stamp logo onto it.

  4. Tie up your package with twine and thread in your logo tag.

That's it! Your packaging is ready to go out and represent your brand!

Some Fun Extras for you, Seeker of Bonus Packaging-Cred:

  • If you have a sweet illustration or branding submark you love, grab another stamp and print all over your kraft paper like my first project here!

  • One of my favorite extras: Include the names of your sweet hens on your larger stamp like this stamp here. Nothing says "family farm" like letting your customers know who laid em!

  • You can also personalize hard-boiled eggs: Add a little heart stamp or "I love you" for a super cute lunch box eggs - or monogram them so your child (or husband!) knows the sweet hen who laid it for them.

  • How about a face stamp to make your eggs look like they're smiling right back at you? Yep, I went there. I have a whole Pinterest board full of packaging + egg ideas you guys, I'm obsessed.

  • Don't have a farm or eggs but love this project? Get creative! Mini egg cartons with some bird-nest-like excelsior looks super cute as jewelry packaging. Super-super bonus points if the jewelry is chicken- or egg-themed!! ;)
