My Dream Box Review
Meet the art supply storage that kept me creative during the pandemic.
I won’t keep you in suspense: I was skeptical about fitting ALL my art supplies into this Dream Box, but it blew away my wildest fantasies (the ones about art supplies).
Here’s what I love about my Dream Box:
It stores a LOT. Even more than I expected. My supplies were in at least 6 giant rubbermaid containers in my closet and it all fit completely.
I can SEE and GRAB anything I’m looking for quickly and easily because of the clear bins.
I can organize supplies in rainbows, which makes me SUPER HAPPY.
I can close or partially close it, giving me plenty of space… to sometimes practice yoga in my very small studio.
It made for a super exciting delivery day.
It was fun to dream about, save for + finally organize.
The desk is huge! It also tucks away easily when I’m not using it and it’s easy to readjust to the 3 different heights. I weirdly love the middle height, which is great for making art without straining my neck.
The underneath space is also huge + even fits my favorite big 10” embroidery hoops from Auburn Hoops, my HUGE Archer + Olive notebook collection + a years’ worth of my favorite Monk Manuals.
The only downside: Your kids will want to play with it. What do I do about this? I gated off my studio, y’all. Mommy deserves space to dream and be creative!
— Though, I’ve got a secret plan for a smaller dream box for my kids’ schoolwork + craft supplies. You may want to stay tuned in a few months ;) ;)

And here’s what life was like before the Dream Box (hint: I didn’t touch my art supplies for YEARS)…
Finally, here’s why I recommend it, even when you think spending this much on craft-room storage is a little crazy (I know I did):
Saving up + committing to it can help you take your creative time more seriously. It’s one heck of an awesome reward to work toward. It also makes a great (and accurate!) statement to yourself and your family: “my creative work is important + worthy of taking up space!”
Easily seeing + accessing your art supplies means you can start that idea NOW. Think about how much you’ve spent on your supplies - not just money but also time! This eliminates the barrier between you and getting started. I know it did for me.
So what are you waiting for… oh, how about $100 off? Y’all, okay, I buried the lead there a little bit, but Create Room is giving y’all $100 off a Dream Box with my code, “MAKEFORGOOD.” So you’re already partway to getting one of your own! ;)
And now for some art supply eye candy:
Thanks for visiting my studio! I’d love if you’d share below — what creative work would YOU use your Dream Box for?
And feel free to ask any questions.. let’s dream about it together!
